The flame he guards was kindled before the earliest chronicles and is believed to embody Albion’s enduring hope. Yet lately it has begun to burn with unusual brilliance whenever Lucian approaches certain forgotten stones. Though the elders dismiss this as chance, Lucian suspects the flame is guiding him towards something buried beneath the land—and towards a destiny far greater than the ceremonial duty entrusted to him.
